Review on 🚪 Depo 333-50011-122: Metal Smooth Black Exterior Door Handle for Jeep Wrangler, Front Driver Side Replacement by Jeff Rothstein

The handle is from the passenger side of a 2006 Jeep Wrangler. The design is outstanding! I read all the negative reviews before purchasing, so I bought with a lot of hesitation, but after receiving and installing it, I can't help but wonder where these negative reviews are coming from.1. First of all, the difficulty of removing the doorknob from the door has nothing to do with this product! Giving a negative rating for it is a pity! If you don't like it, there's nobody to blame but Jeep and Mopar!2. This door handle has the same specifications as the factory handle. It uses the same wedges as the original grip. Do I need to explain how the wedge works? The further you push it in, the more pressure it exerts! So if after installing the wedges your grip is dangling then YOU have done something WRONG! If the door handle moves, the wedge is not fully inserted and not locked! Not only will it fall through, but eventually the wedges will fall off and the doorknob will come loose! This is an operator error and has nothing to do with this product.3. To say the original Mopar is better in any way is ridiculous. This product has much stronger clasps and is much better designed and is $60 less! The reason the outside door handle fails on a Jeep is because Mopar hardly applies any material to the moving surface of the latches, so over time they wear out and the latches snap over one another. Check out my photos and see for yourself! 4. To say you failed to install it so you bought the original from Mopar and are a lot happier, that's pathetic! They have the same properties, putting it all back together is the easiest part of the whole process! That tells me someone actually owns the jeep from the start. I can't say anything about the poor workmanship, I've only had it for a week. But it is said that the trim is not the reason Jeepers are changing door handles. We replace doorknobs because they are poorly made and simply fail. Overall I am very satisfied with this product! Now I'm going to look for the driver's side to replace this mopar junk.
