My 12 year old wanted this so we ordered it thinking it would be easy to install. @$ no! First, I think this will void the warranty on the controller. Second, how many 12-year-olds will have peeling devices? Was able to buy a cheap Sauderstab because we thought we'd give it a try after watching a YouTube video. I've made speaker wire about twice in my life, but I've never made digital circuit boards. Disassembling the controller was easy enough. The problem I had was basically that with my senile eyes (50+) I couldn't see the digital board well so I suggest a magnifying glass or something. You don't have to be an electrical engineer, but it would be helpful to do this type of work sooner. We were able to glue the wires together without damaging anything, but we may have added more hot wire than necessary. I've only burned my fingers twice, but that's my problem. Once done and tested it was successful and fun but to be honest I was very nervous during the surgery.
