Review on Cestari Kitchen'S Ceramic Blade Vegetable Peeler - Effortlessly Peel Your Veggies - Set Of 2 by Sam Bauer

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Nowhere near as good as the Kyocera version. :-(

I'm so disappointed in this peeler! I already have a Kyocera ceramic blade peeler and it works so smoothly and peels so thinly that it feels like magic. distinctly superior to any previous peeler I ever used.I liked the shape of the Cestari peeler and thought that the pointy top would be useful for removing potato eyes, so I bought three of them- one for me and two for gifts.Sadly, the Cestari peeler is inferior to the Kyocera. The peel that it removes is much thicker. maybe that's why it doesn't feel like it's gliding smoothly like the Kyocera does. I don't know if I can return an opened package, but I sure would like to return the one that I gifted and the one that I used.

Pros
  • No need for sharpening like metal peelers
Cons
  • The ceramic blade may be less effective for peeling tough or fibrous vegetables
