I have used the product twice. It worked fine the first time with the regular batter and made perfect waffles that were crispy on the outside but chewy. There was a lot more work the second time strawberries got into the batter. Because of the top spout, any fruit, even remotely, will hang on top and prevent the batter from flowing into the mold. After trying to press these pieces together with a knife (probably not recommended), I opened up the back of the pan. Although what went into the mold was partially cooked, the result was a significant mess. For my next waffle I will of course try the fruit again, but cut it into very small pieces or maybe chop it up in a blender.
