. Tracer controllers have lost both quality and reliability. I used Tracer controllers as their largest MPPT controller was 40A. Your old controllers will indeed do what their specs say, but there aren't that many now, and what's worse, the Epever support team won't help you. I have a LIFEPO4 525Ah 24V battery and back then 8 x 240W panels wired in a 4s2p (152VDC) configuration. If you look at the specs of the 10420AH controller it should be able to handle it, but no, it literally blew it. The controller worked fine for about a week, and then one day in the middle of the day it just stopped charging. The controller seemed to work as it saw both battery voltage and solar panel voltage, there were no errors and the green LED showed normal, but there were no input or output amps. When I tried to diagnose the problem by checking my solar panel, wiring, switches, settings, etc., the LCD screen went blank and magical smoke came out, at the same time my 100Amp switch for my battery tripped. Epever support is a joke, they say it should support this, but it's not optimal that I have to remount the 3s config and what I'm saying is inconsistent. In truth they cannot follow the events and understand that I was just asking why this controller cannot handle a 4s configuration at 24VDC when the specifications say that the controller can work from 200V to 180V after 25C . I got a replacement but fearing the other controller would go up in smoke I rewired the 3s3p configuration and now I need to remake the brackets for my solar panel and also upgrade the AWG wire due to the increased amperage. Needless to say, I am looking for a different manufacturer's MPPT controller. So be careful if you plan to press this controller it will be pushed back creating a fire hazard.
