Using 4 of these hotspots in a church to provide wifi internet access to parishioners. I was concerned about the range and flexibility of these access points, but they work very well. Each access point is connected to a firewall connected to the ISP router via a CAT-6 cable. After setting up an account on Aruba, I was able to set up the first access point on the website and set up the SSID within minutes of turning it on. Each additional access point could be added to the site quickly and easily and began broadcasting all of the defined SSIDs. Connected devices automatically switch to the hotspot with the best signal as people move around the building. Portal S/W makes it easy to change settings via a web interface and/or mobile app. Site restrictions can be set to block access to sites by category to prevent users from going to sites they shouldn't have access to. This is very important in the church environment. The SSID can also be configured to give users limited bandwidth. There is even a log of websites visited in the last 24 hours. There is a chance that users will need to confirm the terms of service in order to use Wi-Fi, which works great. The only problem is that this option doesn't require a password, so anyone in range can use Wi-Fi simply by confirming the terms. It would be better if you could ask for a confirmation of the terms and conditions and ask for a password if you wish, but that's not an option.
