Great Wi-Fi 5 hotspot! on networking products

AP15 works great. Despite hitting the top with 802.11ac/Wi-Fi 5, it still does an excellent job, supporting VLAN tagging and Layer 7 application control.

Perfect except for AWS cloud needs

For the most part, this AP is great. It was very easy to set up and worked practically out of the box. I connected it to a Juniper switch and a PFSense router. That being said, I was a little dissatisfied with the fact that it requires a constant connection to AWS for it to work. Basically, if your internet connection drops or AWS crashes, your WiFi won't work because the hotspot goes into an error state. Had I known about this, I might have really thought about not getting this AP. If you're…

Great 4x4 hotspot for business or home

Aruba Instant On is a new force to be reckoned with in SMBs and premium home use. If you can keep your RF domain at 25 APs or less in a given structure, you can't beat it. Very impressed with their performance in terms of throughput and reliability. Roaming without problems even with VOIP, no dropouts, no delays. Firmware updates are automatic and very smooth. I'm always on the latest update and haven't encountered the bug yet. I've seen them work in a variety of business environments with…

Great solution for your small business/business

I've been trying this for months and it's worked great so far. The version I have is for a larger or more heavily trafficked location, but you can use any of the versions for any location - it just depends on your budget as you can always add more hotspots/hotspots later if you upgrade or want an extension. Basically, it's a glorified WiFi extender with many business/commercial features. So I checked it out on my balcony which is the main dead center of my house. And for that he worked as a…

The app needs help. But stable WiFi performance!

The instruction manual is very sparse and the application does not provide any additional information. The main part that put me off is the increased boot time. It takes a long time to download and enter pairing mode, but once the download was complete, the app recognized it immediately and paired fairly quickly. the information I am looking for. As this is a professional product (designed for businesses) I feel it needs a bit of work and I was definitely expecting a more polished and visually…

The system is very easy to set up and expand.

Using 4 of these hotspots in a church to provide wifi internet access to parishioners. I was concerned about the range and flexibility of these access points, but they work very well. Each access point is connected to a firewall connected to the ISP router via a CAT-6 cable. After setting up an account on Aruba, I was able to set up the first access point on the website and set up the SSID within minutes of turning it on. Each additional access point could be added to the site quickly and…

Creating a business network at home

This is my first Aruba product. It was very easy to set up. Setup was very easy. You just need to connect an ethernet (and a power adapter if you're not using a power-over-ethernet switch). If you are unfamiliar with Power over Ethernet, some network switches can provide power to access points via unused pairs in an Ethernet cable. Since this is just an access point, I decided to set up an access point in the application. It will walk you through the normal steps of naming your network (SSID)…
