For the first time I have a large double bed - or rather a so-called "separate double bed", which is two twins together. A king-size fitted sheet holds the two pieces together so you don't really notice the separation between the two mattresses. This is a handy solution if you anticipate that one of you will need a hospital bed so the other person can keep their regular double bed. I was curious about this sheet set because the color was called "blush". My duvet is shades of beige and I was expecting it to be a pale peach, but it actually turned out to be very lavender. However, the sheets are both beautiful and luxurious against the skin and aren't visible under the duvet anyway, so no disappointment. I only mention it to try to describe to others how this color affects me. If "beige-ivory” is more important than "pink” tones, you might be disappointed by "blush”. Another note, they are slightly longer than my regular king and I think they could fit nicely on an XL mattress which is 5 inches longer. However, it is not a problem to insert them a little further at the end of the mattress. The side fit is perfect and snug. But now to the quality. I have seldom seen such truly spectacular leaves. I haven't washed them so I can't say they come out of the dryer wrinkle free. Most sheets don't do this unless they are primarily polyester. This is a high quality cotton canvas that has an almost silky sheen and hand. The seams on all three sides and the "waistband" at the top of the sheet are perfect. No skipped stitches or loose threads. There are more than enough pillowcases for thick, hotel-sized pillows, and they can easily accommodate longer pillows as well. We slept on these sheets last night and didn't feel stuffy or overheated, although yesterday, almost December here in So-Cal, we experienced what could be the start of a heat wave. It was hot all day! We spent a pleasantly cool night in our nice sheets.
