Even though I don't use conditioner, applying this silk serum takes care of it. After application, the hair is obedient, does not stray; soft and not heavy. Easy to apply with a brush or comb. Adds some shine. However, if you normally have curly hair, you can still use a flat iron (if you already have). I am happy with the result, I have normal slightly curly hair in wet weather. And I've found that even with this serum, my hair gets a little frizzy if I don't use a straightener. The investment is still worth it.
