Review on πŸ–ΌοΈ 8 Ounce Gallery Glass Window Color - Crystal Clear (16081) by Michelle Langley

Gallery glass on my closet door 16 lite.

Recently installed 16 liter French double sliding door. I wanted the french door to look very close to it. However, through the glass on the closet door, everyone could see the hanging coats and some of the tools I keep handy there. I was thinking of sticking on a glass film but I don't like the way they look. Disturbing bubbles always appear on self-adhesive foils. And static cling film has a limited design. I just wanted the vintage look but it still needed to let the light through. I used Gallery Glass many years ago so I decided to use it on my closet door. See also my photos. I have found that if you hold Gallery Glass for too long it hardly dries out. It's like the 'paint' is drying and not completely drying on your surface. I tried using my old Gallery Glass and it didn't work. It ran down the glass and didn't dry to a clear coating. So I ordered 3 new bottles here and am very glad I found the larger bottles. I attached it to the door while it was still hanging (no need to lay the door flat) and it came out exactly how I wanted it. My husband wasn't sure what I was doing at first but once it dried he came up to me and said he thought it looked really great, better than clear glass. So I am very satisfied. It takes some patience and time, but all good craft or home decor projects require it. My advice would be to use a fresh new bottle. I had to throw away all my old Gallery Glass bottles. Do small sections at a time. Give it a few minutes and come back to check if it dripped (if applied to a vertical surface) to wipe off excess. I had to wash it several times from wooden racks. I also had to redo the curls a few times while they were still damp. It took about 2-3 days for my door glass to fully dry (depending on temperature and humidity) and become fully clear. In general very satisfied!

Pros
  • Natural texture and glass-like finish that looks like real stained glass
