Review on Liberty Supply Professional Tapping 16 by John Miller

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This beat is best for tapping trees!

This is a SHARP drill. I found a quick fix when trying to remove wood from a flute. This drill is exactly what the doctor ordered for tapping trees, the instructions were very clear. The mistake I made was my speed when drilling the taphole. This was my first time tapping trees. I carefully removed the drill bit, leaving small shavings in the tap hole. The trick is to get the club out quickly. Due to the shape of the grooves, they hold a lot of chips, a rather fast pull creates enough suction so that only a few chips remain in the tap hole, the rest is cleaned with a toothpick. The chips are all in the hole, not in the notch. Finally it is very close to a surgical instrument, the steel is excellent and there is no coating on the bit which is nice.

Pros
  • Twist drill
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
