Review on SAMSUNG T7 Touch Portable SSD 💽 2TB: High-speed, Secure & Compact Solid State Drive! by Will Ridpath

I originally bought a Samsung T5 SSD and immediately after purchase this new SSD was announced shortly after the announcement. If you play on console, this is a must! I measured load times in Forza Horizon 4 using the console's built-in hard drive and got 3 minutes 13 seconds abs after refreshing the Xbox cache by holding the power button while the console was on for 8 seconds before it was shut down hard. it is below. When the Samsung T5 is connected and up to 50% of the memory is filled, the time to fully load the game has been reduced to exactly 1 minute! I returned the T5 and tried the T7 but was even more impressed. With a T7 SSD, the boot time has been reduced to 53-55 seconds! Even when performing in-game math tasks, I noticed a significant increase in overall speed and performance. I feel like this is a new faster console with near zero latency for any task! Get it, you'll thank me. By the way, I only filled this SSD with my big heavy games that need to run like Halo MCC, GTA, Forza Horizon 4 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The rest of the other games I left on my hard drive as they are not that hard to get onto the console as they are not that bulky for the console to render. Update: Either this SSD has errors or it was delivered damaged. He's having trouble loading full footage onto Forza Horizon. Cannot play effectively with this problem. It freezes on loading screens and doesn't fully load the maps either, so it doesn't show the road or land around you. Another really annoying thing I noticed was at the start of an online match in ranked team races, just when you can move, the whole screen pauses for about 2 seconds after about 5 seconds. So if you shoot that break in time, it's almost impossible not to fall or fly off the road. This happens in over 80% of the races I start online. Really baffled by this issue as I was expecting an upgraded version of the t5 SSD. I'll go back and use the T5 SSD for now until the bugs are fixed. Very disappointed
