The description and photo show that these stockings are knee high but are actually above the knee. I used to be 6'2", but due to multiple vertebral compression fractures, osteochondrosis and aging, I'm now only about 5'10". However, the loss of height occurs in the back and not in the legs. Therefore, over-the-calf stockings should be just that; calf, not knee. Due to the excessive length, the stockings don't hold up and roll easily, creating a tight band, almost like a tourniquet. The narrowing band is painful and likely increases the risk of developing DVT. I made the mistake of ordering two pairs. Since these stockings, even an unopened pair, are non-returnable, I have 2 pairs that are useless to me.
