When building a computer from scratch you are often a gamer who wants the best possible performance, or at least, or maybe a "Craftsman" who wants to build a powerful home computer for less than a retail pre-assembled unit. This motherboard strikes the right balance between performance and price. Its capabilities are about 80-90% above the latest technology available in mid-2017, but it costs a lot less than other state-of-the-art systems. It's been running great for several months with no issues, and the build quality and component quality seems to me to be on par with the most expensive boards I've ever bought. And it has some nice features that you might not expect from a board in its price range: built-in digital audio output over fiber optics, support for M.2 SSD modules, a somewhat "sleek" software support tool that handles the installation Major software deployment, updates, etc., and testing, tuning, etc. It uses slightly older DDR3 RAM, but if you plug in 32GB of RAM, an SSD (specifically the incredibly fast Samsung 850 PRO - 512GB - 2.5" internal SATA III SSD (MZ-7KE512BW) and then match it with an Intel i7-4790K processor and add an acceptable graphics card and you have a system that is actually very, very fast, more than suitable for all but cutting-edge gamers, and it will cost you dearly less because these components are basically a generation out of date now.Dear gamer, today there are two main performance issues with a modern processor: the hard drive and the video system. An SSD (like the ones mentioned above e Samsung 850) in your system and even a *modest* graphics card, performance will skyrocket. My last build I did two years ago was up to date and I paid accordingly. This time I built a system with this board for about half the price that performs about the same. That's all I can say. is that you must first think about your needs. If you're an avid gamer, you won't even read this review as this board doesn't support all fancy gaming devices and has a maximum of 32GB of RAM. However, if you want to build a fast home system at a reasonable price, I recommend this board as a quality component that is perfect for all your needs. Put a maximum of 32GB of RAM, buy the Intel i7 processor you want (note that the processor MUST be a 1150-pin design), buy a decent graphics card for around $100 and you have a very powerful home system that will be great. and can be used for many years. Five stars. Note. One downside: this board doesn't have Bluetooth or the *wireless* networking standard (of course it has a built-in Ethernet port). I bought a very high quality and very cheap Fenvi Desktop WiFi 2.4G/5G and Bluetooth 4.0 Module 300 Mbps, 802.11 abgn, 2x2:2 Dual Band, 2T/2R Mini PCI-E Module Support Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 , Linux and it solved both problems for only $17.
