I love the look of this cat tower it made all the difference when we bought it as it sits downstairs in our living room where anyone who comes can see it. Unfortunately, my cats refuse to climb on it. I think they don't feel safe in wooden shelves given the size and spacing between shelves. Eventually I may add some shelves to the wall next to it and hopefully that will encourage them to feel more confident climbing up. At the moment they only use the small cat house on the ground floor. In comparison, I have a giant carpeted monster in my bedroom and they climb up and down it from the highest seats with no problem. Another issue related to this is the pull rod on the ceiling. They twist to tighten, not spring loaded, and even with limited use this turret quite often loosens and needs adjustment. Since it's hanging from the ceiling, it's a headache to keep pulling it up.
