Review on IeGeek 11 by Steve Cooper

We bought this as a birthday present for a 5 year old. Both he and his 2 year old sister love it and so do we parents. We bought two other similar devices and returned them (one didn't have as many charging options and the other broke after one use) and it's much better. It's small, light and feels solid; my son's favorite color is red and that's why he likes the look. The screen can rotate and also fold back onto the device, making it look more like a tablet (and covering the controls, which is fine if you're giving it to a cranky 2-year-old in the car). The controls on the device, as well as the remote, are much more useful than other products we've tried - the remote is more responsive and the controls allow you to easily navigate and interact with menus. And it remembers where you left off while watching a DVD, unlike some of its competitors. The sound and picture quality is surprisingly good. It can be plugged into an outlet or charged with a car adapter and has longer battery life than many other similar devices. For just a few dollars we were able to get a 4 year protection plan which I think will come in handy considering how small our kids are and how easily accidents can happen. the whole family, and allowed my son to DJ with his favorite CDs and play DVDs from the library during family vacations in a more convenient and personal way than he ever could with our big screen TV and Xbox. In fact, he prefers this device to our other, perhaps more impressive, media players because he owns it and can easily move and control it. Car headrest, although of course if you write a review they will send you a headrest mount for free. I would have written this review anyway, but it's a nice bonus and we look forward to it! The power button is also on the side and a couple of times our kids accidentally turned it off while holding it down. It might be better to place it on the back edge or something to make access difficult.
