I've been using them with my camcorder since I bought it a few years ago and have always been impressed. They work reliably, there are no picture jumps during playback. I use it to record HD videos (1080i from Sony). Now that the cost of hard drives is coming down (well, it was going down before the 2011 Thailand floods and will be back soon) — tape isn't as desirable a storage medium as it used to be, but it's still quite practical. I was glad to find them at Revain as our local brick and mortar store I bought them from no longer sells them. All in all, these are well-made, reliable carriers and I would highly recommend them.
