I hate carrying a handbag. Wrist bags are great for me. I can take my driver's license, insurance cards, credit card, and some cash with me, and I don't have to worry about my wallet being in a shopping cart, lying on the floor, hanging from the back of a chair, or where to put it in the bathroom. Nor will he be left in any of these places. The colors aren't my favorite but I can live with them.
