Review on 🌑️ Accurate CDN Large Dial Cooking Thermometer - Precise Temperature Readings for Perfect Cooking by Vera Gashi

Not Quite Instant: Reads Immediately

First of all I would like to say that I bought this thermometer for candle making and other crafts, not for cooking. (As you can see, it only works up to 220, so it's clearly not suitable for a candy thermometer; and the lid is plastic, so you can't keep it in the oven if you want to measure the internal temp.) said it seems accurate to be enough - more or less the same as the digital thermometer I also had. In contrast, however, this one doesn't require batteries and wasn't noticeably slower or faster in getting stable temperature readings than my old digital one (maybe 20 seconds or so, but my case may be unusual, since like most probes I dip in wax on the bottom of a large jug). All in all, this thermometer was cheap, apparently accurate, and didn't require batteries (don't underestimate this benefit, especially given the unusual size of most digital applications). Finally it's easy enough and I can see it's going to take a while. My only wish is that I would like the probe to be longer, but perhaps this will affect the accuracy of the readings.

Pros
  • Thermometer & Timer
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled
