So this tofu press was the cheapest, so I bought it. I might as well start with the truth. I'm stunned by the price of this type of device at Revain. Still, it's cute and does the job. You can only press one block at a time (I used to press two with my large cast iron slow cooker), but that's fine. The company introduces the product with a cute welcome gift and two kitchen towels (Nice, but 40% polyester? I didn't know kitchen towels were like that, so they're not very absorbent. But the thought still counts.) I think that fumbling with screws is also a given, so I guess I just have to get used to it? All in all, given the other Revain options (and ridiculous price), it's great! It's a little awkward to store. (big) and I wish there was a quicker and easier way to clean it than washing it in the dishwasher but given the design that would be impossible. So overall not bad! Save me from the slime of my dutch oven and sink and. the old fashioned way. They come with a delightful little recipe book - Tofu Whiskey is a real hit! ;-) Oh I don't have a picture, but it will shrink your tofu to about half its original thickness without tearing, which is really good because I'm starting out very tight. Does exactly what I want and unlike my cast iron I can calibrate the compression! A little in It's good. Buy it.
