Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Stanislaw Glusinski ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Unattractive product, unprofitable purchase.

Dimension 225/55/17, drove one winter without extreme sports - half of the spikes are missing. I wrote a complaint to Goodyear - they refused to replace it, citing the fact that it seems to them that the rubber was used mainly on asphalt. Well, yes, the way it is and I did not hide it - there are such winters in Hong Kong time, and I need spikes for periodic trips outside the Hong Kong Ring Road. Prior to that, I used tires from another company on a fairly powerful rear-wheel drive car, with an aggressive driving style - sharp acceleration and braking, cornering "fan" on asphalt - for the season there was a loss of 2-3 spikes from the wheel. And here it is on a front-wheel drive car. The position of the company is unpleasant and surprising - having saved 15,000 on me, they lost a client - Goodyear does not exist for me from now on.

Pros
  • Pretty soft, good tread for snow porridge.
Cons
  • In one season (7700 km), more than half of the studs on the drive axle were lost.
