(TLDR summary: 1A product, I followed the instructions and it works perfectly!) Long version: I have a fiberglass jacuzzi style bathtub with an embossed pattern embedded at first glance seems to be -slip texture. This pattern is beautiful in this quality until it gets wet! After getting wet, the embossed pattern with the cartoon banana peel unfolds its full gripping power. I realized this was a real safety hazard for me and my wife (who was pregnant at the time). So my first attempt at improving the "pending disaster" that was my bathtub was to get a good quality suction cup floor protector. sliding bath mat. I cleaned and allowed the tub to dry before laying this mat down, then deliberately positioned it to maximize the number of suction cups on the smooth areas of the tub floor between the raised textured areas, as I expected. would give me the best chance that the mat's suction cups will stick well. I took a quick shower, then went to the bathroom just to see if it was working and at that moment everything was looking great. However, after about a week I found that the mat gave me enough traction to allow me to put one foot out of the tub and onto the bathroom floor (so far so good) but then immediately lost all utility as the Suction cups were just below My foot slipped over the fiberglass! An episode of exposed cracks on the rim of the tub is all I could glean from this nonsense! Type Revain and "Tub Grip": I carefully read reviews of non-slip materials/coatings/solutions on Revain and decided to give Tub Grip a try. At this point, I did NOT want to regret the purchase (not because of the price, but because I was fed up with this situation, since I used to worry about my pregnant wife regularly when she took a shower). So the enclosed instructions have been read and followed to the letter! The results were just fantastic! I was shy at first because if you looked at the bottom of the tub once it dried you could hardly tell there was anything there at all. However, after almost 3 months of use, I can say with absolute certainty that this stuff does exactly what it says on the tin! It has a fiberglass backing. I didn't even think about ordering more of these and will again be following the directions closely and expecting the results to provide my parents with a safe showering environment.
