I have a 1980 CJ7 that I did a YJ spring conversion on. No lifting springs. After completing the suspension and front end, I took it to the shop to have the roller checked and tracked. They found that I had 0.3° positive trail on one tire and 0.4° on the other. I believe the factory specs are 3°-6°. I decided to order these 4° pads and see what I get. I have another alignment center meeting next week and will update this review to show what wheel angle shims actually do. However, there is a noticeable improvement in drivability. As for the quality of this product, it is top notch! They are ground very nicely and are an excellent product. Stay away from aluminum spacers. This is the way. I didn't have to increase the hole size for the center pins. A flat spot is carved into the hole on one side to allow the head of the pin to sit flush. I was glad to see it. Bare steel, you need to prime and paint it. Good product!
