with the short sides of the crib when my son started to stand. Our crib is a convertible so we hope to use it for many years and I definitely don't want my son eating wooden railings (both for his safety and to keep the crib nice). a bit big so some of the zip ties are tight but I don't want big rail caps hanging very low. We have a dark cherry crib and you can barely see that it has sides that blend into the wood. Almost every morning when I first walk into his room, he's standing there munching. I am comforted to know that the rail covers are clean and safe for him. They have a waterproof bottom that perfectly protects the wooden bed. I took them off once to wash while my son slept, thinking he couldn't do much harm in an hour or two. I was wrong, he knew everything and made a lot of dents on the rail in that short time. I can't imagine what the crib would look like if we didn't have these covers! Must be!
