I bought this step attachment as I only needed to drill a few 3/4" holes in 14 gauge vertical sheet metal. A hole saw wouldn't provide as clean a hole as this drill bit does. I liked the fact that color changes were noticed at certain widths - it made drilling 3/4" diameter holes easier. This bit was significantly less expensive than the well known Irwin brand. While I can't comment on durability, there was none noticeable Loss of sharpness in the holes I drilled with it Last hole cuts as clean as first Good value for money? Yes.
