You DO NOT need this router if: 1. You want a plug-and-forget device. 2. You don't know anything about networks and don't want to know. You definitely need such a router if: 1. You want total control. 2. The words vlan, trunk and other mac-address tables are not alien to you. 3. Connecting a remote site with 10-15 people to the central office via L2TP is a great option.
