Cute, easy to use for a 5 year old. My daughter got the diary on New Year's Eve and the lock broke after 2 days. Ordered these, they are much better. Sweet and not too tender. They block and remain closed. Obviously this is more for show and attraction but it won't allow a brother or sister to get a peek.

These locks were very cute at first but after using them a few times they just fell apart and had a few small pieces as you can see , so i really warn parents with young children not to buy these for their kids as they pose a choking hazard.

I like these. Small and durable. BUT This is the second time my orders have been messed up. The first time I didn't receive the keys they immediately refunded my money and ordered them again. The second time I was only given 2 locks and keys even though the list says 3. I'm not worried as I only needed one and wanted the best bang for my buck but am still a bit annoyed.

It was perfect! My daughter lost the keys to the lock that came with her little diary at the school book fair. When we removed this lock it was the perfect replacement. Also we have 3 locks and 3 keys so hopefully we won't have this problem or lose the key again. I would like to add that they are heavy and strong, very good quality, not flimsy plastic, they are real metal and they are small but not tiny. I love her!

Very nice and strong locks. They're not big, about the size of a diary lock. I use mine to lock all the feeding doors in Ragnar's cage (my Green Cheeked Kennel) because otherwise he could escape at any time and it wouldn't be safe for him. Perfect for that purpose or I'm sure any little girl would love to use them for her journaling as they are better made than the tiny padlocks that come with most. Beautiful design. It works, and the bar itself is about the same diameter as a standard luggage lock. But its construction is subpar at best. If you're looking for a nice little lock that's for indoor use only and requires minimal effort (you should be able to pick it without tools) then this is good value for the money.
