The eyepiece has a manual focus ring which is inconvenient to use when you need to move the scope away from your face to focus. The focus needs constant adjustment, but you can still use it even if it's out of focus. I often take a few shots of the flag just to be sure and this device often gives plus or minus 3 yards. I used it yesterday on a windy day and had to ask others to haul down the flag for me a couple of times. I would not buy this device again.
