Easy as pie. There was a stinky smell coming from under the kitchen sink and apparently the old range hood was to blame. It probably hasn't changed since the house was built. I took it off and yes it's quite dirty, there are a lot of nasty colors and stains inside. It took me 5 minutes max to unscrew the old one and screw this new one in and voila, I haven't had any bad smells under the sink since and our disposal and dishwasher seem to work better as a result. .
