The best hoof trimmers I've ever had. Never had a problem; they work GREAT!

I've had goats for about eight years and always trim their hooves myself. I started with an old Italian hoof clip and they were terrible. They hurt my hands and painfully crunched the hard parts of the hoof. They didn't even cut the sole or heel of the hoof unless I cut so deep that they actually cut and bled the goat. In the end I found it funny and bought these hoof trimmers. These trimmers are AWESOME! They are sharp and the perfect size; fits comfortably in my hand and is just the perfect size to get the job done. I no longer need to wear gloves when trimming to protect my hands from blisters within five minutes of starting. Now my goats' hooves are smooth and even when I'm done trimming, they aren't jagged and cut. These trimmers help me keep my goats in good physical condition and as far as possible I will never be without them again. To keep the trimmers in good condition, make sure you brush your goat's hooves to remove sand and stones as these will dull the trimmers. I've also used them on bushes and they work great on them too! -to a video of me trimming the hooves of one of my goats with these trimmers: [.] To trim a goat's hooves: 1. Tie the goat to a support or pin it to the wall and spread its legs back with your legs to keep them as tight as possible. You don't want it twitching as it can be dangerous for you and the goat (remember you will be using sharp trimmers!) 2. Take a leg (front or back, whatever) and brush it with a stiff bristle brush, remove dirt, hair, manure, rocks and other debris. Not only are they uncomfortable to work with, they also dull your hoof trimmers.3. Trim the sides (hoof wall) with small cuts at the level of the sole (soft part of the hoof).4. Trim the heels lightly if necessary to keep the entire foot flat, uniform and balanced. Repeat steps 2-4 for all hooves.6. Release the goat, give it a treat, scratch its neck and let it out to pasture before it gets in trouble, or you go get the next goat. Farm website: [.]
