This is my first Chromebook. I've been using an Apple iPad (v2) for about 4 years but eventually gave up and it became very slow. This is definitely a Chromebook customization. The iPad touch screen is much more convenient. In most cases, typing on the iPad is even easier. This Chromebook is a pretty fast way to get online. Lying on the couch, using it is not as easy as using a tablet. When you are in bed, the keyboard is large enough for comfortable typing. It's not as fast as my iPad, but fast enough. Part of the problem is that using the trackpad isn't as easy as tapping the screen on the link or field you want to use. If you use a Chromebook to type a lot, I'd suggest a slightly larger version. But otherwise I have no real complaints. The picture isn't nearly as good as on my iPad, but I paid a lot less for it, so can't say I didn't expect it. And using Google Docs for word processing is way better than anything else on the iPad (although I'd be confused if there's a Google Docs app). Overall, this is a reliable and affordable computer. If you're on a bigger budget for a better or bigger screen and a fast processor, you'll love the difference, but if you need a basic computer for internet use and don't mind an old-school computer screen, it might its a good choice. To you.
