The dimension 225/45 R17 is on a rear-wheel drive car. Before that, I had Bridgestone Blizzak Revo GZ tires and I was very pleased with the entire first season. For the second season, the handling became noticeably worse, but this winter, having put tires on for the 3rd time, I was completely disappointed, for the reason that a pair of wheels were worn out, almost at 0. Half of the winter suffered, I could not drive into the snow even in relatively small slides, it was hard to move from a place, but there were also pleasant moments, for example, it was possible to skid without sparing the rubber, and to enter turns with a skid. In the end, I decided to take care of safety and buy new tires. The choice was not large, in this size in December-January, and even from popular models and manufacturers, you can buy only Bridgestone Blizzak VRX. Yes, it is not bad, because the previous model has proven itself well. The reviews were very different, more than good ones, so I had my doubts and bought it. I don’t know what will happen after the break-in, but now I’m not that upset, but I’m definitely very surprised. Of course, I didn’t expect that I would put new tires on and I would ride like on rails in winter, winter is winter and you need to be careful on ice, but it behaves worse than my Revo GZ with 0-1 mm tread remaining. More precisely, it behaves, probably, in about the same way, only earlier it was, firstly, logical, and secondly predictable, but now, with a neat uniform acceleration, the car suddenly starts to throw left and right in order to leave along with the flow of cars from the traffic light should be "stoked" almost to the floor, while slipping "non-stop" until you pick up the right speed to roll, it slows down like the previous one, the one that is bald. All this is not critical and you can, of course, drive with increased caution, but I could just as well ride a bald one, but you still expect noticeable improvements from the new rubber. I'll go through a run-in and see, but I have little faith that the situation will change somehow drastically. In general, I put "3" as a sign of respect for the previous model and with the hope of improvements after running.
