I've had the Inkbird C929 for about a week now and use it to keep a 5 gallon fermentation bucket warm. The initial temperature reading is accurate compared to another thermometer I have. Pairing the controller with the app requires a few steps. Everything is explained simply in the app so setting up Wi-Fi was a breeze. The app distinguishes this product. Compared to a temperature controller without an app, this device gives you a lot more options. There are expected features like C/F option, temperature calibration and fridge delay that you can set to prevent cycling too often. A very useful function is the temperature trend. It displays a line graph throughout the day (and previous days) showing temperature changes over time. This was helpful for me as I could see how well my new heating pad was working. Automation based on local temperature, humidity, weather, sunrise and sunset, and event scheduling can be useful. So far I have only used the scheduling automation and it has worked without any issues. There is an alarm setting for high and low temperature. The alert will sound on the controller, not the phone/tablet. Please note that this controller only works in heating or cooling mode, not both as only one output is supported. There are a few minor improvements I would suggest in an update. for application. A widget that shows the current temperature and the temperature trend would be nice so that the application does not have to be opened every time. Also, I want a high/low temperature notification to be sent to my phone. A backlit screen would also be a nice addition to the controller in a future release. Overall, the controller works just as expected with accurate readings, and the app adds more features than you'd expect from a controller without an app.
