At first I really liked this thermometer. It provided accurate readings and the magnet feature is great for storage. Battery life is good and the auto shut off helps. However, after about 1 year of use, it started giving inaccurate readings. For example. It's 70 degrees Fahrenheit at my house and it says -37 here. Take out the battery enough times and it can eventually be read correctly. Leave it off and store it for a few days and it can work properly again. The problem then becomes not knowing if it will work at the time I really need it. The WORST thing is the lack of Lavatools support. One of the main points in the product description is a lifetime warranty, however I could not get Lavatools to respond to multiple warranty requests. They fill out a form on their website and submit it, but they don't send you a confirmation, ticket number, etc. So they don't have a link to the next contact. And they still haven't responded to the requests I sent (1 over a month ago, 2 over a week ago). I'm giving it 2 stars because of the poor customer support.
