In response to my first review below, the manufacturer assured me that this "upgraded" model, despite having the same product number and the wrong manual, has maximum performance of 15 watts versus the 20 watts of the original product. I don't have USB-C enabled power meters and haven't been able to test this, so I can only trust they didn't send me an older model. Aside from the power typo, my review was negatively impacted by the following reasons: 1) This hub is only good for laptops/devices with USB-C ports on the left. On the Surface Pro 7, the USB-C port is on the right side, so the HDMI cable exits directly towards the user instead of back where it should be. The same applies to the PD port. My hesitation was using the hub upside down, which in itself is uncomfortable. 2) Possibly unique to the Surface Pro 7, the USB-C port is placed unusually high above the desk, so this hub's short 6-inch cable means it's partially dangling rather than resting on the desk. There are probably technical reasons for its short length, but it's an issue nonetheless. Maybe it's unfair of me to penalize this product for what is essentially a design choice, but why not create a version with the opposite connector configuration for the rest? Without many options, I can't influence companies through purchasing decisions, so I'll complain in public reviews. ---------------- Original Review: I bought this upgraded hub and the previous model. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HMLTCPL) a few days apart for comparison but received two identical products. Same product numbers on the back of the units (1H2C2A1S1M) and the same manual that says 20W (should be 15W as per this page). Did Anker just not bother to print a new manual or use a new model number for this version of the product? Or did you send me the wrong item? The review will be updated as I learn more and after fully testing the product.
