My son shot his first deer this year and we decided to make our own burger. I chose this chopper attachment - my wife already had a KitchenAid Artisan mixer - although I think it will work with all KitchenAid models. I almost went for the cheaper plastic, but decided to spend more on this one - there were a few criticisms of the plastic that gave cause for concern. I'm so glad I got this one. This is an amazing product worth every penny. I rarely write reviews but this product is really excellent. On Sunday morning we cut up our piece of venison and I partially frozen it and my son and I ground it into a hamburger. We made almost 20 pounds of a hamburger together in about 15 minutes. It sanded great and worked great. I strongly advise you to buy this specific one and not the cheaper plastic one - you won't regret it. Our reindeer burger looks just as good as it does at the butcher. I am attaching a photo of our ground venison.
