Review on 🚰 Stay Hydrated with the Badlands Insulated Hydration Reservoir and Drinking Tube by Ryan Hampton

So here are my first impressions of the Badlands 1 liter tank and a few facts about it: 1) I ordered this tank for my Haley Strategic Flat Pack (the smaller of the two). My unit's SOP states that we need a source of fluid when wearing our FLC in the field so it complements my micro nicely while I'm on schedule and I don't have to carry an uncomfortable bottle. beating. I wouldn't trust it with my life, but it's good as a good emergency water source for patrols. 3) This balloon easily fits in the flat pack and doesn't feel uncomfortable. The tube may seem a little long, but you can fix that by either A) cutting it off a bit, or B) putting a spare tube in your pack's hydration sleeve. The mouthpiece also slides well through the flat pack straps made for the radio, and that's where I will store my hose in the future. 4) The sliding locking piece at the top of the tank doesn't snap into place as securely as I'd like, but I'm not sure it will retain its integrity during sudden side-to-side movements. I attach this by threading the string through the 2 holes to the left of it and attaching the rope to the side of the bag. Lubricate the tube before inserting it into the bladder. Before inserting, simply lick the O-ring or wet it with water, done. I have 0 leaks so far. I even went as far as putting on my kit and leaning against my bladder on a wooden chair. There was not even a drop of fluid lost and I sat there for ten minutes. 6) This setup is also pretty easy to run with a mini sawyer filter or regular sized filter in the drinking line to leave in a backpack and if you drop that thing. I would recommend the range. I'm not sure how the iodine tablets will affect this, but I expect severe discoloration. My general opinion: I think this bubble is well done. I'm taking off a star because I don't like the fact that the lid doesn't snap securely into place. I think this bubble will continue for years to come. My only big issue is that I wish it came with a patch or two so you don't screw up too much in the leak area. That being said, I would definitely recommend this item to anyone looking for a source of hydration for their flat pack.
