The product has an unpleasant smell.
I bought this small ironing board to make sewing easier, not to use a large ironing board. When I received it it was the smell about it. I removed the cover and pad and hand washed them. It still smelled, and I found that the chipboard it was made of was very smelly. In fact, it smells like mold/mildew to me. I have allergies, I'm very sensitive and I can't stand it. I threw it in the trash can. You don't have to go through the $15 return process. You can ask your supplier or warehouse about this. That's exactly what I want and I regret not taking the risk.
