Review on 💽 500GB Western Digital WD5002ABYS RE3 SATA Hard Drive, 3.5-inch Enterprise with 1.2 Million Hours MTBF, 16MB Cache, 7200 RPM by Jose Wititsuwannakul

Servertech, Inc. advertised this disc as new but it has been well used. So I have no idea how long it would take. When received it reported an on time of 20428 hours and returned errors during the scan. Most disturbing was the effort that went into hiding the fact that it was a used disc. One reviewer, who I now assume was dishonest, gave high marks and gave a long and detailed review of how good the Enterprise drives are. Of course, if they're new, that's great. But when they're used up, they're still garbage. servertech inc. is a fraudulent organization and should be blacklisted from Revain.com. Personally, I will never buy from Servertech, Inc. again and I will make sure to warn as many people as possible about their shady dealings. UPDATE: Servertech contacted me about the low rating. Her comment was that the discs are second hand but since they are bought in bulk they sometimes get some of them with higher than normal performance. Their opinion is that the discs only have a small percentage of their lifespan (MTBF according to the manufacturer), i.e. they are as good as new. This was a long statement but I maintain that an item advertised as 'brand new' should be factory sealed and not used.
