First of all, anyone who is picky about button placement should know that this style may or may not have six buttons on the edges of the collar. They were in line but slightly behind the collar on mine. Second, there is a size issue. My friend who wears S or XS fits M; Another friend who wears M needs L and I who usually wears M or L need XL. But the fabric is a nice, stretchy material that feels like stretchy peach skin, and the dress hugs your knees nicely even if you're almost 6ft tall (although this depends on body type, proportions, etc.). Overall, this is a lovely dress, but if you have a longer waist or are the type of person who finds t-shirts difficult to tuck in, your waist will not exactly match the waist of this dress, which can result in a pattern like this one is problematic as the buttons give clear indications of where the waist and belt should be. I would recommend one of the patterns where the buttons go all the way to the bottom of the dress where in such cases the waistline can be a little more "greased".
