I've had this light strip for a long time. I think a little less than a year. However, tonight has prompted me to write a review on this product. Initially this bar was great. But tonight when I used it for a while to watch me park, as I had done a number of times before, it started to annoy me. I left the house and the LEDs blinked and went off. As I approached the truck to see what was going on, I suddenly saw smoke billowing out from under the hood! I turned off the lights and opened the hood. I thought I had an electrical fire. I quickly unhooked the wire harness from the battery and inspected it. Whatever the reason for the light drawing too many amps, THE FUSE IS NOT BLOWN! After unplugging the fuse, the kit turned out to be a 30 amp fuse. Obviously this is too high a rating for a harness! So do yourself a favor, scale down the fuse to fit the wire size, or make your own wire harness. I almost burned out my daily driver as a result! Now I need to find out if I'll try this light bar again.
