Review on πŸ’» Griffin Grey HP 15s-fq068ur Laptop - 15.6" Display, Intel Pentium Silver N5030 1.1 GHz, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, Intel UHD Graphics 605, Windows 10 Home, Model 3B3N9EA by Petar Velichkov ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The quality was generally satisfied, there were minor shortcomings.

I wasn't particularly disappointed, but I had anticipated a more serious product. Anyone interested in installing Linux should avoid using Debian stable because the older kernel does not recognize half of the hardware. Mint is silent. Normally, only Ubuntu 20.04 can be obtained. The xorg-video-intel driver must be removed right away in order for video and 3D to function properly because Xorg now comes with a built-in video driver.

Pros
  • small and lightweight laptop. good from a distance. Very good performance to price ratio with a Core i7 processor and 16GB RAM for 64000r (January 2022).
Cons
  • The biggest letdown was battery life. You can seat the battery in an hour with a good load. A video that is seen online lasts for a few hours. I thought the lack of a discrete graphics card would significantly lengthen the operating time, but it didn't work out that way. 2. Material quality. For 64000r, I had hoped for more. The entire keyboard is made of plastic, and typing is done through its core. 3. There are some odd issues with the keyboard generally; after turning it on or closing / opening the lid, it stops working for a while before turning on at once. It could be an issue with my laptop. 4. Installing an OS is a different journey because of the issues with the new Intel hardware, which isn't really a disadvantage.
