Charming decoration, not practical for small children

First I want to say that this toy looks great. It has wonderful illustrations on four pages and the rabbit inside is very cute. It looks like a toy from a movie or a children's book. Unfortunately, this isn't practical for toddlers or children under the age of five, as it's too difficult to put the bunny back in the box and snap the lid open. Unlike the Jacks in the Boxes you probably had as kids, this one doesn't close up just by closing the lid and the clown automatically folds up nicely. You have to press the rabbit with a lot of force, hold it and then close the lid with your other hand. Once the lid is down, you can't let go of it until you turn the handle a little more and the latch returns to its original position. It works great but is poorly designed compared to the old ones from decades ago. So if you want some sort of decoration for your home, that's fine, but babies, toddlers, and young children will be disappointed.
