I've also noticed that if I just turn the crank one or two more times AFTER the rabbit appears, I don't have to do the reset step. This item was disappointing as the item delivered did not match the image shown and the images are much duller than the flashy action based graphics. The next disappointment was that the music box arrived closed, but after the first spin and the bunny jumped out of the box, the open door would not close again no matter how hard I tried. Finally, one side of the jack was damaged as if it had been abused somewhere along the way. The price is too high for such a disappointing low quality product…

Bought a Peter Rabbit Jack-in-the-Box for a 2 year old girl. It looks very nice. When Peter Rabbit appeared, she kissed him. Everything is fine in this part. The rabbit was not in the right place in the song. He appeared at the end of the song. The latch that holds the lid is plastic and barely holds the lid in place. First I want to say that this toy looks great. It has wonderful illustrations on four pages and the rabbit inside is very cute. It looks like a toy from a movie or a children's book. Unfortunately, this isn't practical for toddlers or children under the age of five, as it's too difficult to put the bunny back in the box and snap the lid open. Unlike the Jacks in the Boxes you probably had as kids, this one doesn't close up just by closing the lid and the clown automatically folds up nicely. You
