This is a big disappointment. The screen is gel and you need to manually wipe and apply the gel after each painting. Getting a drawing board would be the best idea. I am beyond disappointed with this product.

Gave this to my son for his 2nd birthday. The day after we opened it he was playing with it and I noticed his whole hand was blue and the ink was dripping from inside and they were all over the place. I was so disappointed. He liked this toy very much. Hard to believe it broke in one day.

Great for 1 year olds. My son loves the Crayola Touch, he was 13 months old when we bought him. I read the reviews but I don't think people looked further into it. Yes, the gel moves and you have to clean it yourself. My 1 year old likes to slap it with his hand and move his fingers. I love the different colors and sounds it offers. This is a good tool if you want to create a shape or learn letters when the time comes.

Our 14 month old loves it! The feel of the gel is very nice, the changing lights are amazing. And believe it or not, the music (which is optional!) isn't bad. I work with students with major and severe disabilities. I bought this to dress up some kids who are a little tactile defensive. I had great answers. Some children, especially those with vision problems or visual impairments, are drawn to backlighting while others enjoy music.
