This Laeker ceramic iron is durable and functional. We had some initial difficulties getting it to work after opening it. It didn't come with any instructions and my daughter couldn't get it to work at all. It was told to hold the button down, but didn't say how long. You really need to hold the button down a little longer than you think is necessary. After that we had no problems with the product. My daughter is messy and I was a little worried about how well the ceramic would hold up to her care, but after repeatedly dropping this iron on marble tile and hardwood floors, this iron showed no damage. It heats up well, the handle doesn't heat up and serves its purpose. She used it for her hair and as a mini iron for some crafts, and it worked exceptionally well on both occasions. Overall this is a good product and excellent value for money.
