These Tommaso Capri Knit Women's Indoor Cycling Shoes are definitely best used on a bicycle. They can be screwed on to the bike pedals making a more efficient biking experience. More precisely, they screw into a clip but the foot can be removed in case of an emergency. When one foot is on the upstroke it pulls up the pedal because it is attached making a better pedal stroke. The screws are included and you can see in my photo where the screws (or should I say bolts) attach to the shoe. The shoes are very light in weight so as to not be fatiguing when riding the bicycle. The shoes are said to be walkable, but this is not to be confused with being walking shoes. The bottoms are stiff and don't have a lot of give to them. If you need to walk your bike up a hill because you are tired, they will work just fine but if you want walking shoes this is not what you are looking for. These shoes have the very specific purpose of enhancing the pedaling efficiency of a bicyclist. For that one purpose they do an excellent job.
