My Mini Cooper has round air vents - LISEN's magnetic car phone holder doesn't work in any of them. After examining my dashboard, I found 2 recesses, each with a ledge, located at the extreme ends of the deck above the instrument panel. I attached the bracket to the molding above the recess on the driver's side. This arrangement limits the ability to pivot the mount, making it difficult to adjust the angle to avoid glare. Not perfect, but better than putting the phone in a cup holder. I also had a problem with the phone vibrating while driving. I solved this problem by placing the 2 metal spacers that come with the mount next to each other inside the case to increase the surface area for the magnet to stick to.
