later When I first got this bracket I was a little concerned it wouldn't hold securely or I would install it incorrectly. Well, none of them were a problem. I chose to just stick one of the magnets into the phone case instead of attaching it to the phone and it has worked very well so far. Installation was also very easy. I am very satisfied so far.

Since I bought a new car, my old mobile phone magnet no longer fits. I bought this in the hope that my slightly concave vents would allow for a secure attachment. After trying three other clamps, this hook worked! Not only does it adjust to lengthen the hook for initial placement, it's more secure than my last one! It can rotate when attached and still allow air to exit the vent without being expelled.

My car's air vents have horizontal louvers and vertical louvers behind the horizontal louvers. The gaps between the vertical bars were too narrow for the hook piece to fit between. So I had to file down part of the hook to make it narrow enough to fit between the vertical slats. Just enough for the hook to snag on the horizontal bars. Also, it works fine once I set it. I didn't hook the vertical bars. The hook part didn't reach far enough.

Use common sense when installing this product. I lengthened the hook as much as possible. I then opened up the vents a bit so I could slide the hook up before slowing the hook's slide down by turning on the vent lock. By holding it, I was able to tighten it. I used the larger magnetic plate that came with the package and was able to slip the phone into the case comfortably. The magnet is strong. I accidentally drove into a pothole and my phone didn't fly off. You don't want to over-tighten this
