Review on 🧡 Jacquard iDye Natural Fabric: Vibrant Deep Orange Shade by Jennifer Roberts

I love the performance of this dye - very long lasting results, true color and easy instructions. I have a set of king size sheets (flat sheet, fitted sheet, and two pillowcases) that I wanted to dye olive green. I found this iDye product at Revain. I was a little apprehensive as there was only one review and I didn't want to ruin the fairly new and expensive sheets. They were mint green, which contrasted with our other colors. (Note that iDye has this product for natural fabrics and a different dye for polyester and nylon blends.) Anyway, I took a chance and hoped for the best. I decided to do the entire set of leaves at once and carefully followed the instructions, that came with the paint. I used a top loading washing machine and two color packs (depending on the weight of the sheet). Since the fabric had to be moistened beforehand, I simply washed the sheets beforehand and put them aside. I then raised the temperature of our water heater and let it heat up - this may not be necessary, but the instructions clearly state that you need very hot water. I then filled the machine to a medium load (I usually wash it on a high load, but that was enough to keep it moving freely). I added two packets of instant dye and let them shake for 30 seconds, added 1-1/2 cups Morton Plain salt (non-iodized), and added a set of leaves. I've extended the dyeing time to 60 minutes per instruction for better hold by resetting the wash cycle a few times before draining to continue the rinse cycle. After that I let the cycle run to the end and washed the set of linens from the start in cold water with a mild detergent. Then into the dryer. I turned the water heater back to normal and ran a wash/rinse cycle. I'll provide details in case it's helpful. It might seem like a lot, but it was actually quite simple. The sheets are back on the bed now - they look and feel great. I don't expect any problems but will add info if anything goes wrong as we use and wash the sheets.
